Early Vote Ends Today!

Today is the last day of Early Voting. If you haven’t had time to cast your ballot over the last two weeks, you can still get it done today.

Of course, you can also vote on Tuesday, May 29 from 7:00am to 7:00pm. That is the actual Election Day.

While I recognize many of you don’t like to cast ballots in partisan primary elections, I hope you will reconsider. There are many races on these ballots that will be decided during the primary.

Whether we like it or not, the competitive nature within our system of democracy has been waning. Many Districts are configured in such a way that they will elect only one party. Thus, the importance of casting a ballot in that party’s primary becomes ever more important.

When you go to vote in November and you complain that so many of the candidates were uncontested, I’ll remind you that you could have helped make the decision of who would be elected during the primaries.

So, look at the candidates in both parties. Decide what is most important to you and GO VOTE!

The League of Women Voters provides a thorough information guide of the candidates in both parties. Click here to learn more.
