Vacation

Today, my son and I leave for a big adventure. We’re heading to explore London for two days and Ireland for two weeks. We are longing for the cooler climates and the adventures that await.

Vacations are critical to our sanity. For me, this trip has been great for my attitude for the last few months. We’ve been planning, studying, making arrangements and talking constantly about adventures. Just knowing that we were close to escape has been wonderful.

And, now the adventure begins. Experience tells me that the trip will probably not evolve as we planned or envisioned but that is all the better part of the adventure. We will still escape from the day-to-day routines and be surrounded by extraordinary scenery.

When we have wireless access, we’ll send notes to the blog. Meanwhile, please take care of politics for me. I’ll need to be fully briefed and updated when I return.

I know my multitude of sources will keep sending me information while I’m gone but keeping up with the intrigue at City Hall or the constant pondering on a potential Perry for President campaign will not be our top priority.

Dearest readers, thank you for reading my blog. We’ll be back in full action on August 15.

Thanks!
