Special Session: Please Let it End!

Dear Governor Perry:

Please send those Legislators home! If you absolutely must call another Special Session, at least give them a break before returning.

The Legislators have been working day and night for several months now. Legislative Sessions are a little like summer camp. People are isolated from their families and their constituents. They are surrounded by persuasive lobbyists, weary staff, and endless time with each other.

They begin to perform in a vacuum. What is most needed now is for these weary souls to return to their districts and listen to what the people have to say. It might bring real perspective to future votes.

Also, it might be better for your own Presidential campaign exploration to send them home. They are a little irritated with you at the moment.

If they go home and spend time with their constituents, they may hear from people who are excited about your bid and remember that you are a well-liked guy with the people.

Please, Governor Perry, send them home so they can taste reality again and reset their priorities.

No more Special Sessions until school starts!

Please!
